Do you accept Google’s apology?
The biggest news of late that cracked me up was a de facto spokersperson for Google actually apologizing for google crushing so many small business owners before the holidays. Apparently, Craig Nevill-Manning, Google’s Senior Research Scientist, said, “I apologize for the roller coaster. We’re aware that changes in the algorithm affect people’s livelihoods. We don’t make changes lightly.

I was just taking a look at this older thread and it got me thinking… I know with my own web site stayed a PR0 for about 8 months, then jumped to a PR6 for another 8 months, and then has been a PR4 sense then. Unfortunately I simply don’t think web masters should rely on Google to provide them with free business referrals… a little optimization will never hurt, but I think we all need a really good internet marketing course of some sort that works.
