3…2…1… Launch!

Stomping the Search Engines was officially launched Thursday night. While I slept, orders poured in at http://www.instant-seo-expert.com for my new recorded seminar, Stomping the Search Engines, which includes more than 8 hours of audio on 10 CD’s about how to get high search engine rankings. My partner, Andy Jenkins, is the author of Yahoo Store Profits, the book I bought last year before launching My Wedding Favors.

If you are selling online, or thinking about selling online, check it out. There’s noting like creating a full-time income selling wedding favors because you can rank on the first page of a search engine.

    Brad,

KUDOS on the Stomper! It is GREAT. I have been able to identify and begin working toward several new keywords. In just a week I have gotten 3 terms in the top 30 Google listings for my best keywords.

Give me a couple more weeks and I should have all 3 on
    page one.

Anyone can profit from this baby.

    Good work.

The Search Engine Stomper is the best product I’ve spent my money on while researching the ecommerce business model. Between Andy Jenkin”s book Yahoo Store Profits and the Stomper, I have been catapulted from having zero knowledge of ecommerce to having completed and launched my first affiliate site, The Fine Wine CellarYou guys have done a great job of passing on your wealth of knowledge to the average Joe. I wish you all continued success.

Good information but the ‘transcribed interview’ format makes for a somewhat spread-out PDF file. Top of my wish-list would be to remove the security settings so that I can add my own bookmarks and easily get back to the points which are important to me.

Yes, I know security is important, but this isn’t the kind of product which lends itself to plagiarism — it’s too individual…

    Hello Brad,
My girlfriend and I have recently opened a Yahoo! Store selling poker products after reading Yahoo! Store Profits. We have gone through our fair share of bumps and bruises, mainly due to the fact that our shipping prices on the site were not covering the full actual cost of shipping.

Now that we have corrected that problem we purchased Search Engine Stomper to learn more about search engine optimization. First of all, I would like to thank you and Andy Jenkins for the vast amount of information you have provided. I am a little more than half way through the cd’s and I have identified about 10 or 2o things that we have done wrong with our store. I do have a couple of questions though.

    1. Could you explain the difference between getting indexed and just getting crawled? I know you said you can get crawled and not indexed but I don’t really understand why.

    2. I want our website to show up for the words “poker table top”. When I try to link to other website’s should I use our web address for the blue underlined words and make the hyperlink point to the poker table top page like this http://www.SignaturePoker.com or should I use the words poker table top and make the hyperlink point to our index page like this Poker Table Top ?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hey Brad,

My wife and I just finished The Stomper. We started listening on Friday night and finished all 9 CD’s by Saturday afternoon. We feel empowered after absorbing this profound audio seminar.

After finding Chris Malta’s Dropship Source Directory, we progressed to the then Yahoo Store Profits. Andy and Audry taught us how to find niche products like cat furniture and leather lingerie The Stomper is the perfect next step for our business and our lives. Thank you Brad, Andy and all others involved in the production of the Stomper.

Brad: You and Andy have really done a wonderful job. I received the Super Stomper about 5-6 days ago, jumped immediately into it and now I’m ranked on page 1, 7th place on google for my keyword and on page 2 of Yahoo for the same keyword and have been Stomping the Search Engines ever since. So Kudos to both of you and thanks for not being cheap with some well hidden secrets of the SEO world.

All I can do is echo all of the above kudos. I received “stomper” on Monday, it is now Wednesday of the same week. I still have several CD’s to listen to. But I set up to play on my computer, I just plug in a CD, put on my earphones and continue working my website. I have learned more in the last couple of days than the entire time my site http://www.all-unique.com has been in existance. (since 1995) I am now in an extremely competitive market selling Replica vintage radios, televisions, etc. When I first started, I was number one on Google with most of my keywords. After “Google Dance” I all but dissapeared. I have been struggling to get back on top, and voila, “Stomper” the saviour of the web world of ecommerce.
Thanks a Million, and I hope it is…

    Brad,

WOW! What an excellent product. I actually know a little bit about SEO myself and to tell you the truth this product taught me some extra tips and tricks I did not know before. It is also very current information about the moving target we call Google. Who better to teach us about how to succeed with Google then someone who has done it themselves. Not just high level general advice, but hands-on practical knowledge and strategies to obtain that coveted top 10 position.

I going to put this info to work right away on my niche sites about belly button rings, temporary tattoos, and video chat programs. I have every confidence in the world that these sites will rank high and be the envy of their respective industries as a result of what I learn from the Stomper.

I recommend that you listen to the material a few times over, then go DO what it says. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the results.

Congratulations and thank you for putting together a GREAT informational product! This really helps to cut through all the myths and rumors about search engine optimization.

What I really like about your product is that it puts SEO in the context of the larger SE marketing view, rather than being just a collection of tips and hints. It’s not just about getting higher rankings, it’s also about learning to think like a good marketeer.

    To Brad and Andy:

I was waiting to hear that the Stomper was going to cost me $500. And I knew I wouldn’t even read the sales letter (I never did, I just went to the bottom and clicked on “order now!” – that’s how much I trust anything Andy tells me). Last wednesday was like Christmas, I was just waiting for Santa to pull up in his big brown sleigh. Anyhoo…I’ve got the stomper on my iPod and I listen to it nonstop. I’ll have it memorized by Labor Day. I even tried listening to it whilst sleeping, to get the info subliminally. I cannot believe how much I’ve changed my site in the last 24 hours. PRICELESS info. The resource page was easily worth $250. Thanks again and all the best!

    Answer:

PageRank (PR) is distributed through links. If you link to other web sites instead of just to pages on your own site, then yes, more PR will go to others and less will be available for your own site. Short answer, link to others on your links pages, not your home page.

    Hi Brad,

As a person who was tired of the corporate world and all the BS that goes with being part of the rat race, I was happy to find a product like Andy Jenkins Yahoo Store Profits to help me become self employed. With a ton of hard work, we built a somewhat successful ecommerce store selling children’s furniture and wood toys. However, with the added knowledge of Stomping the Search Engines I feel this holiday season will force us to hire our own employees! I highly recommend STSE to anyone who is thinking about hiring an SEO firm that claims they can get you a top ranking. Thank you both for your hard work and continued success. Your willingness to offer advice to newbie’s like myself proves that there are still good people out there.

Stomping the Search Engines is worth every penny. We just received it and my wife and I are about half way through the course. Every disk we have listened to so far as had at least one and in some cases several crittical tips that are each worth the cost of the course!

I am a little confused on how the blog posting will work. The front page of the blog has a 6 page rating but the page where we post this comment has a zero rating. So how is posting to this blog supposed to get my site crawled faster? This was something stressed in the ‘Stomping the Search Engines’ and I just want to make sure that I am understanding. Thanks for any feed back or clarification.

    Hey Brad,

I really picked up a lot of great information on the CD set on stomping Google! I note that the dominant theme in your methods is simply to model success.

I should go back and count how many times that you suggest checking out high ranking sites and/or competition to see what they do on their pages and what their back-links look like. This is very powerful.

Thanks again for all the great ideas.

It sure is frustrating trying to create links with this blogger software. I am using IE 6 and cannot see the blogger buttons. Also, I cannot get ctl+shift+a to work after highlighting text. What am I doing wrong? How am I supposed to get Google’s attention if I can’t even create a hyperlink in a blog response?

Thank you so much for providing this amazing information. Not only you answered all the questions that I had in mind, you also saved my relationship with my girlfriend. She was very skeptical about online business. After she finished listening to all your CDs, she became very supportive of my business. On top of that, she is inspired to start her own online business.

I can’t wait to put all the things that I learn from you to my niche sites about stun guns, pepper sprays and taser.

    Hi Brad:

I am almost finished with the CD course, and it was funny because I was instinctively doing many of the things you reccomend. However, I was making the rookie mistakes and bleeding money poorly spent. Listening has given me excellent insight into how to do things properly. It seems with online marketing the devil is indeed in the details. I’m in the process of optimizing and thanks to you I know which sites are indeed quality links. Before I would link based on subject and “perceived” value. Now I know how to get the actual value and it is saving me tons of time and making every action I perform a forward moving action and not a wheel spinning action. Thanks for the great information and I hope to be ranking high shortly!

Oh yeah, and I’m in a hard keyword are Horse Racing, Gambling, Horse Racing Systems etc.. Got my fingers crossed!

Thanks a million for the great information.

    Hey Brad,

I just purchased Stomping The Search Engines today. I’m really looking forward to it’s arrival. I do a lot of researching before spending this kind of money on a product. There is a ton of internet marketing junk out there. I’m happy to say, I can’t find a bad word about it and Ken from the System Seminar endorsed it. That sealed the deal. Ken, unlike a lot of “internet marketers” doesn’t endorse much. I have recently started a few new sites and I’m really excited about what Stomping the Search Engines will help me accomplish.

My purchase of Stomping The Search Engines seemed like a natural step in my search for knowledge. Last May, I got sucked into a free seminar from a TV infomercial. It almost cost me over $4000. Luckily, the one good piece of information they gave me was the Worldwide Brands website. I read Chris Malta’s eBook & immediately realized I had made a huge mistake in giving these people my money. AmEx has the charge on hold, & I’m sure I’ll get it reversed. Nevertheless, I bought and read “Yahoo Online Store Profits”, and listened to your radio show with Chris Malta about your outstanding success with myweddingfavors.com. I was totally stoked! After absorbing as much of your material as I could, and setting up several drop ship business accounts, I made the move and created a Yahoo Store. IT OPENED TODAY! Yea! I listened to the first 4 CD’s 3 or 4 times each as I finished up on the site. It has taken a month & a half of grueling (but fun) work. Since it’s brand new, and created by someone who three months ago knew virtually nothing about creating a commerce web site, I haven’t seen any results yet. But with the great knowlege I’m getting from Brad and Andy, and my determination, I know that success will come with further hard work and effort. Take a look at my site & tell me what you think. I need constructive critisism. Here’s the link Horseshoe-Hardware Later, Dan

Small Business StrategyHi Brad. I listened to your interview and thought I was already doing most of what you talked about, but my weak points are the points you emphasized. What you are doing is obviously working and while the face of the internet changes every few months, some things just don’t go out of style.

So I’m looking forward to receiving my package tomorrow and making a big change in my average rankings. I already know this stuff works, because I’ve helped change the fortunes of 5 friends all from PR0 to PR4 and PR5 in just 30 days. – all were existing, good quality sites. All I need are a couple of good ideas to pump up my 5s and 6s. Thanks for the opportunity.

    Hi Brad,

One thing that struck me was how you said that you will not refuse a link exchange request, even if the site has a Page Rank of zero. You mention that it is not likely that that the requesting site will be PR0 for long, because that is what the site is trying to solve by asking for inbound links. This righteous attitude helps the entire community and I applaud you for championing it. We all have to start somewhere, and PR0 is that starting point for new and not so new web sites. Thanks for the great course.

This is my second comment. I just got done listening to part 2 of the advanced linking strategies and all I can say is WOW!  Talk about cutting edge, state of the art SEO techniques!  However, I did found myself wanting to hear more about where to buy text links. So I did a search on the Google and found a company called LinkWorth. They are very different than most so called other "link brokers" in this respect. You are able to review websites before you buy. I was able to find a PR5 website selling links for $15/month and a PR6 selling them for $40/month. You can sell links off your site there as well.  They are also not blatantly advertising PR selling, so that should keep them under the Google radar. Go check if out for yourself.

Thank you for all this valuable information. I am anxious to start using your techniques. My website NotebookSolutions4u.com has been online for about 8 months, and ranking no where. I hope that I can achieve much better ranking after I optimize my site.

    Andy & Brad,
You guys of done a great job of telling it like it REALLY is with the STOMPER audios! I am only half way through the CD’s, but already have learned some of the things I need to go back and research for my own website and that of some of my clients. Your specifics with regards to keyword(s) research and “grabbing the low hanging fruit!” is a BIG plus for most webmasters like me who having been trying to eat the whole elephant in one bite, instead of finding multiple bites all at the same time. I look forward to getting through the remainder of the training and them coming back again a 2nd and 3rd time to listen and pickup more stuff I happend to miss the first time. Will keep you posted on how things progress…

Keep up the good work & God bless!

Love the fact that Andy and Brad don’t just try to preach some sort of magic formula that will “somehow” guarantee top position. Stomper has some gems for everyone. No matter what your level of expertise. An effective way to start studying the beast in an effort to tame it. I will definitely recommend it to my buddies. And as an aspiring internet marketer, I’ll start advertising Stomper on a few of the web sites I’m starting to put together: Business Opportunities, eCommerce Integration, and Ultraseeker Ebook & Resource Directory.
    Thanks.

Brad and Andy – Thank you, thank you, thank you! I suppose by now you’re tired of people telling you how great this product is, but I’ll risk being one more. This is by far the best seo info product I have come across! Bar none. It really makes things clear. Not only do you dispel some so-called “common knowledge”, but you tell why.

For example, before listening to your course (I’m now on my 3rd listen and still picking up new things!) I thought listing in the Yahoo Directory was a waste of $299. That seems to be the opinion of certain other ‘experts’ (who will go un-named). But you explained that the value of the link was worth the money and after all $299 for year is about $25 per month, less than lots of high PR sites charge for a link. Although I *do* resent the fact that Yahoo can say “give us $300 and maybe we’ll list your site, but there is no guarantee and oh by the way this is non refundable. Brings up a question: you said that any site with a legitimate amount of content should get listed. Have you heard of anyone who had Yahoo “Take the money and run”? No matter, I will get my site listed there. Thanks again!

I have discovered that it makes sense to use an email form as opposed to an email link on your web sites. As your site gets more organic traffic, it will be more visible to spammers. There are several decent email form services on the Internet or you can add a simple CGI script to your site.

Hey Andy, Hello Bradster…This stuff should be kept top secret! Killer stuff like this is rare! Can you amagine I thought, $299 was alittle high! Boy was I wrong and glad of it. I have seen the errors of my ways, I see why I haven’t ranked high in anything…but spending(PPC) money.

Now for the first time, I can see how and why I am on the right road to top ranking.

One thing I did enjoy the most was, Brad didn’t hold back anything! He was thorough, honest, even a little too honest on some of his answers.

I enjoyed that and this came though while listening. I’m sure others will say the same thing. Andy I got to give you props too, you are a good interviewer and brought out the best in Brad.

I’ll send you more when I’m ranked on page 1, then #5, then #3, and finally #1, then I’ll send you guys out to dinner. Ruth’s Crisp Steak house….or whatever steak house you’d like (as long as it’s under $5!) Any who, as you can see I’m excited about this and what possiblities my 4 site’s will be. I will rule!!!

    Andy and Brad,

I have been using your program, Stomping the Search Engines, since I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. When I started I was at about Page 3 on most of the search engines. I am not selling anything other than my services so google was not my top priority. My company buys houses, and that is a Very Competitive market.

In the couple of weeks I have gone to number 2 on Lycos, number 9 on Hotbot and number 9 on Jeeves for We Buy Houses Houston. That is just a start. I could not keep up with all of the information coming to me on the CD’s. I know I have not come close to implementing all of the information given to me, just the “Low Hanging Fruit.” :-)

Thanks for the super information you have given me.

    Brad,
I can’t say enough good things about “Stomping The Search Engines!” You and Andy have done a great job of making search engines understandable…as much as they can be understood.

After finishing the CDs I immediately went to work on our site. Since Google is already crawling our site everyday I expect to see a jump in our PR real soon using the tatics presented in Stomping the Search Engines.

Thanks again for this much needed SEO tool!

I bought this product to see if I could improve performance for my already successful website traffic analysis service, Web Stats Gold. We provide sales tracking, conversion ratios and percentages as well as visitor stats.

While listening to the CDs I made a few changes to my site as the subject was being discussed. I almost doubled my link popularity in two days! My Alexa rank moved up by more than 500,000 positions. It still has a long way to go to be #1, but it is now well on the way. I will continue to document my progress just to see if the Stomper continues to pay for itself.

I am still working on trying to get my whole site indexed Magic Trick, so far now luck. I think now that I may have figured it out though. I am using Net Objects Fusion, and noticed that my navigation bar is an actual GIF with text in it and I read that spiders may not like that either including java scripts. So I removed that all together and manually entered my links to my other pages off my home page, so they are now true text links. I hope this works, I just need Google to come visit my site now and index it again!!!

In case you need the actual URL links, here they are:

    http://www.dinosaurbirthdayparty.com

    http://www.school-assemblies-dinosaur-program.com

Step 2. Go to my Blog http://dinosaur-birthday-party.blogspot.com and find the “Links Welcome!” entry and post a “comment” about the Dinosaur Birthday Party concept ( of course you will have to visit some of the pages to find something to say ) and be sure to include the fact that you have posted links to DinosaurParty and / or School Assembly giving the exact URL of your link. In this way your URL will be picked up from my Blogger pages and I will get a message telling me a link has been posted.

Step 3. And here’s the 2fer! I will then go to your link, find your e-mail contact info and send you the URL of a PR 3, 4 or 5 site where you can post a FREE one way “non-scripted” link back to your site.

So there you have it. I get a link to my site and you get 2 links back to your site! A 2fer!

    Keep Stomping!

    Brad,

I bought OptiLink as you recommended but the Google PR Pack seems to be missing :-(
The checkbox is greyed out on the Command tab.

I’ve emailed Leslie twice but he still has not replied…

Anyone out there knows about this? Do i have to buy additional add-ons? I didn’t see anything on the OptiLink web site…

According to the Google Bar, this page’s PR is “O”. So all the posting being done here isn’t doing much to help improve anyones PR.
But Brad says, in the Stomper CD, we should list on his High PR Bloger page. Anyone know which one that is?

He also suggest paying cheap money for some good direct links.
If anyone is interested I have several PR5+ pages where, for 5 Bucks a month,
I’d be willing to place no more than 10 “Sponsor Links” similar to the “Related Sponsors Links:” at

    Dear Brad:

I just got my website out 10 days ago, but so far no customers. I have faith in “Stomping” but I think I must be doing something very slowly or trading links with the wrong websites (just 8 links so far and one of them http://www.myweddingfavors.com). What are some of the quickest way to get my foot in the door? Can a few fellow stompers help me out please? My website sells formal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and prom dresses. Thanks, Audrey.

How long should you wait for a reply from other sites that you contact about exchanging links, yes I have followed your instructions and posted a link to their site from my links page (one page from the Home Page) before contacting them. I have gotten several replies and back links from them, however several of the sites I contacted have not bothered to reply and it is the 5th day now. How soon should I remove their link from my Link Page?

Also, I finally was crawled by Google yesterday, it took five days from the time my website went live for this to happen. This isn’t bad is it? But how long before I can expect to see any Page Rank? You and Andy did a fantastic job creating the Stomper, I am continuing to listen, learn and apply. Thanks!!!

I’m getting so pumped about moving up in Google! I’m in a super competitive niche (just shy of 5 million pages with one of my keyword phrases) and hundreds (if not a few thousand) competitors, and I just moved up to number 12! I realize that number 12 is not good enough (yet), but based on what I am applying from the things I have learned on the CDs that you and Andy produced, I finally understand how important it is to get external links! From a blip on the radar screen 10 weeks ago to number 12! And for two other very competitive keyword phrases, I am number 12 and 18 in Google (and moving up fast)!

Thank you so much for the excellent and understandable work you and Andy did on Stomper!

I’ve had a PR 7 for quite a while but not by methodically trying to get links … they just happened since I write and sell my own software which is great content to have. Even though I’ve had this website for a long time (since 95)I’ve found some great information on the CDs. Also it’s been a great motivating factor in listening to the CDs I’ve decided to make some changes to my existing websites.

After attending Ken McCarthy’s SYSTEM seminar in Chicago a few months ago, I have been very excited about honing my skills as an internet marketer. I decided to start by putting up a site for my good friend, Master Photographer Andy Marquez. Of course I bought your CD’s when they came out, but foolishly thought I didn’t need to listen to them until we had the site up. Now the site is finally up at http://www.andymarquezgallery.com. When I started to listen to the CD’s I almost immediately realized that we have already made a lot of mistakes, starting with the fact that my website designer used Coldfusion to put up a virtual site that can’t be crawled by Google. My advice to anyone getting into this is to listen to these CD’s “early and often.” I understand that you are going to be part of the next SYSTEM seminar, and I will see you there. Thanks for pointing the way.

    Thank you Brad

  235. December 20th, 2004 | 2:44 pm

    Hi Brad,

Well I bought Stomping the Search Engines when it first came out, listened to it all in a few days, and thought there were a ton of great ideas about getting better free search engine listings. This is one area that people often don’t fully understand, including myself. I had already mastered pay-per-click, bringing in six figures worth of revenue through that alone, but didn’t know too much about free search engine promotion. And I know that is where you can really make some money. Your work though has made it much clearer and taught me what I should really be focusing on. Thanks! So I took the time to build a new website, and now I’m ready to start moving it up the search engines. I have two questions though if you’d be so kind to answer. I’m trying to develop the language I want people to use when linking to my website. As you’ve said having backward links from good PR sites is important and they should include the right keywords. I’ve identified the top 3 keywords (or search terms) I want to target. Here’s my question though (this is hypothetical – not actually my keyword selection).

Say the 3 search terms are: 1. new movie 2. movie 3. movie releases

Ok and say I think I can compete for each one of those search terms and I think they will convert well. Then I use them in the following manner for my backward link to my homepage for example:

New movie releases – Purchase and get information on top new movie releases. Over 1500 movies available!

Will that help me rank high for each one of those keyword phrases individually (new movie, movie, and movie releases) even though I ran them together like that? Or will google/yahoo only rank me high for “new movie releases”, which also maybe isn’t as desirable a search term? Also, should I try and get the plural version of phrases in there (not in this case but in another case with the singular use), or is that too much keyword loading for a link?

Thanks Brad I appreciate any insight you could offer! It probably is a simple answer that I am just overlooking.

    Hello fellow Stompers!

Merry Christmas and a Happy Womp-em Stomp-em New Year!

If you get this more than once please don’t be dismayed.
I’m posting it to all the stomper blogs I can find so that everyone is sure to get the good news.

    Proof positive that Stomping works!

You may recall my post back on October 4th, 2004 @ 09:35 PM ??? (see quote below)

Well since then the Dinosaur Birthday Party site has gone to # 1 for the search term “Dinosaur Birthday Party” in Yahoo and the alternate Dinosaur Birthday Party is # 2. !!!

I’m still not showing up in Google for Dinosaur Birthday Party, but I am # 1 for the single word term “DinosaurBirhdayParty”. I think the lesson here is that it would have been better to hyphenate the domain name to read “Dinosaur-Birthday-Party”.

I also want to thank those Stompers who helped win the Dinosaur Birthday Party top spot by posting to the Dinosaur Birthday Party Blog. You helped me AND you helped yourself because the Dinosaur Birthday Party Blog is also moving up in PR.

For all you new stompers, and those that didn’t post before, If you want to add some PR value to a page on your web site, I invite you to read, link and post an appropriate comment at

    Dinosaur Birthday Party “Blogger-to-Blogger”

    and also at

    Dinosaur Birthday Party “Links-Welcome”.

Brad’s work has sparked a lot of related SEO options to help you get more traffic and higher SEPR. I think it’s great that stompers can help others and themselves by simply posting to other sites that understand the process.

    Happy Holidays and Keep Stomping!

Brad, I purchased Andy’s “Yahoo Store Profits” about nine months ago, took it on vacation, it read it from cover to cover. Since them I’ve set up my first store selling Americana and Country Decor, as well as an E-bay store selling the same. My wife and myself are finally beginning to “reap some fruits” from our labor. We’re not millionaires “yet”, but we are making a profit. I
I’ve finally decided to kick it up a level, and have purchased “Stomping The Search Engines”. Our website “Hometown Harvest” is number three on Google & Yahoo when searched for by name, but now I’m after reaching that same placement by using targeted “keywords”. I’ve read nothing but good reviews about “Stomper” and I’m sure that the program will take us where we want to go when it’s applied to our site.
Thanks again and we’ll keep You & Andy updated WHEN we make it to the top.

    Brad,

Once again I want to thank you and Andy for all of your hard work. I have listen to all of the CD’s at least once and read all of the information through as well, and in my daily trips to the gym, I pop a CD in my walkman and let it educate me a little more each day.

What I have learned so far, everything I have done to date except for just one process, I did wrong. However, you and Andy have shown me the error of my ways. Fortunately, I already had traffic, with this SEO program along with the Online Store Profits and the Yahoo Store Profits, I’m now gaining the knowledge to turn all of those beautiful visitors in to cash paying customers.

I wanted to comment on one of the strategies you teach. The section I reference, is about linking. Ladies and Gentlemen do not under any circumstance over look this part of the lesson.

Of all the things we did wrong in building our site! The one thing we did right, was build tons and tons of Links, and that in turn brought tons and tons of traffic, just as Brad referred to in the lessons. We just did everything else wrong. With the guidance of these gentlemen, fixing those problems will be the easy part. I can’t thank you two enough.

It is rather embarrassing being a person who has made a living buying broken businesses, fixing them, and selling them at a good profit. Yet I couldn’t see how wrong I was until the two of you, painted such a graphic picture, that I actualy saw the light and came to understand. When I educate people on subjects that I have great knowledge, I like to make things so simple a blind dog with a note could get it done, well my new friends this blind dog will be getting it done.

    Thanks Again

I see a lot of wonderful comments here, but when I go to the sites listed most have little or no page rank (banned maybe?). In fact, the main page to this site only shows a pagerank of 5 not very impressive for a “expert”. How about a follow up post from somebody who has used this and has gotten good results lasting more than a couple months?

  273. March 4th, 2005 | 9:11 am

In taking the advice of the Stomper tapes, I’ve been adding content to my site – and they’ve been getting picked up pretty quickly and indexed fairly well off the bat by Google. The latest pages I’ve added were information – Guide to Memory Foam, and then other pages specific to products areas: Latex Mattress Buyer’s Guide, Air Bed Buyer’s Guide, and Memory Foam Mattress Buyer’s Guide.

Thanks for all the information and I’ve found the tapes in general to be very helpful.

For years my wife has talked about an internet business but I told her we had to have a solid strategy for ranking in the search engines, and I hadn’t found anything that resonated with me. A couple of months ago she bought “Stomping” and said she thought she’d found what we have been looking for. We’ve just published our first Yahoo store 3 days ago and are extremely excited about our prospects as we were able to analyze demand and competition in ways I never would have imagined. While we continue our education, Stomping The Search
Engines remains a pivotal moment in our experience. Good luck in China!

I just published my first e-commerce store at the beginning of March. I started exploring a web site as something to do in my retirement; however, I think that I have just un-retired! From something that began as a hobby, it has grown into a full-time, exciting endeavor. I have been involved with communications, systems, and computers for years – but seldom in the e-commerce arena, so I had a very steep learning curve. And Stomping The Search Engines provided much of the foundation that I needed. Thank you for providing the correct directions and assistance for this novice.

I listened to all of the Stomper CD’s (some 2-3 times). Then printed off the narrative and references. I had my site documentation with me as I read the material. Amazing how many mistakes I made! I have been changing and updating for the past few days. This is a great “how to” tool to have at one’s side as they review their site’s construction. 294. April 17th, 2005 | 11:47 pm

I am an old hand at the web, having designed and demonstrated much of what is accepted as normal today. After a stroke on my part and Rheumatoid Arthritis on my wife’s part, we found ourselves unable to get jobs.

After spending our retirement savings and what little we get from the government, it became clear we had to build our business or live on the streets.

We read Ralph Wilson, Jill Whalen, Rudy Cordl, and many, many more. I bought Andy’s books and built a worthy but unread Yahoo site. We had an expensive SMC site built, but gave up when the product quality was embarrasing and the website left us unable to do any marketing.

So we had our two of our websites rebuilt here in town. It has room for product, but takes some convoluted amount of work to perform marketing. It seems te site was built to satisfy the builders, not us.

We are now down to our last funds, and were ready to give up until I bought and listened to Stomping The Search Engines. Now I am listening to it for the third time and am still learning and adding more.

We are so excited we are forging ahead using your techniques. And, as you might guess, it works. In the past month, you have taught us more than we have learned in the past three years.

All we can say is thank you, thank you. thank you. We are now on track, and with a little luck, we will make enough to at least survive.

Hats off to you for putting it all into an easy-to-learn, easy to use set of instructions.

Now we have a question. When are you going to put together a seminar on building effective landing pages and improvement of conversion?

    Bill & Karen Grant

I am an owner of 6 new websites and just bought Stomping the Search Engines to achieve the success of Brad & Jen’s site. For the first time, things were clear, concise and not a bunch of the standard teachings. Thanks for being precise. We think our teak furniture store http://www.MoreThanTeak.com will be a great success.

An awesome program and the bonus interviews just made it stronger. I am so glad that I have this powerful source to learn from but I wish you would stop selling it to others. Sorry for being so selfish.

Stomping the Search Engines is a must own! It has made it clear on what direction to go in and has helped with the unknowns about how the net really works. There are so many bonuses I can’t even list them. As you can tell by all the comments it is great.

    Brad,
Any idea where I can get help on installing optilink? the “optilinksoftware.com” site lists only a snail mail address – no phone or e-mail info. I have downloaded the “free trial” from their site (apparently, the first step before upgrading) but when I try to click on their install icon, all I get is a list of 40 folders inside – most of them have a .class extension which my XP won’t open. I have the Java 1.4.2 or better that optilink requires, but nothing I try will open the program (I can open the video, which came with the download, but nothing installs).
    Thanks

    Hi Brad,

I just wanted to include my total endorsement of your wonderful CD series “Stomping the Search Engines”. I have listened to the all the CDs a couple of times each and am working thru the bonus interviews at this time.

I am really appreciative of your honesty, your straightforward style and the fact that you are willing to share all this “stuff” for a very reasonable price.

I am finding that I make progress by taking little steps daily and listening to the CDs and referring to my notes. The world of links is a new one to me, and the possibilities are amazing.

Your “just do something”, “just get some links” advice is priceless. You don’t have to do it all at once.

I am convert to your way of thinking and doing things, and look forward to meeting you in person some day.

Thanks for what you do and the way that you share it.

    Hi Brad and Andy.

    Fantastic product.

I’m very happy that I purchase your ‘Stomper’.

There’s alot of information out there about ‘search’ marketing. And you guys have made a fabulous product that makes it very, very easy to understand and apply.

Your product was easy to listen to, and very easy to use because I could pause the CD’s whenever I wanted to ‘catch my breath’, or make adjustments to my sites…

    Thank you very much.

Brad, I’ve been listening to little else ‘cept the Stomper for the past couple weeks (it was one of the reasons that I bought an iPod, after all). I think you guys did a great job of laying out the basics. And while I know that your tendency is to do updates thru your newsletter, I wonder if you and Andy would consider sitting down and doing a new Stomper update CD every year. I know that I’d be happy to pay 30 bucks to hear your thoughts on all the things that have changed since the original Stomper series (for example, Yahoo is now well-established with their own search engine, MSN has launched theirs, Google’s "Sandbox Effect", scripts for reciprocal linking, etc). There’s certainly enough current issues to justify the time investment. Just something to think about. Thanks again!

    Hello Again Brad!
Just to let you know how appreciative I am for the “Stomper” series. I built my first site about 12 months ago “Hometown Harvest”(http://www.hometownharvest.com)& after applying your techniques, within 4 months, it was #3 on Google for my major search term “Americana Decor”, & #14 for my secondary term “country decor”. Last month it moved up to #’s 2 & 10 for the same terms! I couldn’t have done it without you! We just opened our second site Beach Bum Gifts(http://www.bbumgifts.com), & I know that by following your instruction, this site will be as successful as the first!
Our hits have gone from 200 a day, to 2,000 a day (41,000 last month)! Our revenues have tripled! All I can say is THANKS BRAD & ANDY!

Hi Brad! I am not done with your CD seminar yet, I am about half way through. I am at a confused point though, I need to work on the 301 redirect (I think…) and I am not sure what to do. I understood the part about not using forwarding, which is what I have been doing but I am not sure how to fix my dilemma and I just bought 2 new domain names last night after careful thought, I figured it was a good idea. Now I need to know how to best configure these domain names with our web sites. AHHHH!!!!

Anyway, I am a web designer here in the Atlanta area and for about the past year have been diligently learning how to get better search engine rankings for several of our own web sites – mainly for my husband’s disc jockey site because he wants to quit his “real job” and of course I would love to get better rankings on my own sites as well, some of which are e-commerce and others not, but still important to my income if people can find them.

I am thankful to have stumbled across your stuff on the internet – all sort of by accident. I have learned much just in the first 5 CD’s and look forward to the rest of them.

Readers of aphorisms. The worst readers of aphorisms are the author’s friends if they are intent on guessing back from the general to the particular instance to which the aphorism owes its origin; for with such pot-peeking they reduce the author’s whole effort to nothing; so that they deservedly gain, not a philosophic outlook or instruction, but-at best, or at worst-nothing more than the satisfaction of vulgar curiosity. velcro laminate direct mail burberry survey

If you are looking for a great way to learn more about climbing the search engines, this course is great! We have a highly competitive business as far as search engines go and we do 99% of our marketing online mainly because in the wedding market, it is drastically expensive to advertise by traditional means for a small business – we are still trying to get back up to the top of the search engines, for many of our key phrases we are on the first page of google…so our goal is to stay there or move up, we continue to apply what we have learned and stay plugged in to anything Brad teaches. Thank you Brad & Andy!

    Brad,

Outstanding job!! The Stomper is exactly what I’ve been searching for. As a newbie, I wasn’t sure what to believe. You’re program makes it so simple to see through the hype and get right to the meat of things. The cost was more than I wanted to spend, being on a very short shoestring, however, having now been through the material I realize that it is worth many, many times the cost.

By the way, the fact that you evidently practice what you preach, and are successful at it, is what sold me in the first place.

    Brad,

I purchased Stomping the Search Engines, and I have a question.

On page factors contribute to ranking well, but getting links with primary keyword anchor text is extremely important.

Your Wedding Favors site ranks #1 on google for wedding favors because the on page factors and incoming links? or also because the links on the homepage (e.g. unique wedding favors) include the words wedding favors?

If you have the time, can you please clarify that for me? Thanks.
