Same Time, Different Place

It’s easy to keep track of the time in China; you don’t even have to change your watch. It’s exactly 12 hours ahead of Atlanta time. Now, it’s 2:00 p.m. Wednesday but it’s only Tuesday in Atlanta. We left on Monday, so I missed Tuesday altogether. (One time time my sister flew to the other side of the world and missed here birthday completely. If you want to stay young maybe that’s a good trick.)

After 3 flights, including a 16 hour plane ride from Chicago to Hong Kong on a 747-400, we arrived in Guangzhou for the trade show last night. The trade show is huge. We spent the morning in a big show until we figured out it was the wrong one. Currently, I’m in the right one but lost. I got separated from the group so I wandered into an Internet booth and got online. Next, I’ll see if the phone card I bought works and try and call them.

Everyone over here has a cell phone but of course mine doesn’t work. Of course, it barely works in Atlanta, so it’s not a surprise that it doesn’t work here.

So far, the food has been great, but the McDonald’s across the street is starting to look pretty good.

Have a great time in China.
I have a question. Is the following true:
    it takes 8 PR 1s to = a PR2
    it takes 64 PR 2s to = a PR3
    it takes 512 PR 3s to = a PR4
    it takes 4096 PR 4s to = a PR5
    it takes 32,768 PR 5s to = a PR6
    Is that correct?

Sounds like you’re having a good time. Looking forward to hear what you have to say and updates on the Stomper Forum. Also, has anybody out there figured out RTML? I have played with it and figured out a fair amount but still have some questions, looking to trade questions and ideas with someone. Cheers!

    Brad,
You obviously don’t know anything about time travel in today’s economy. Yes you can keep from aging by flying backwards around the Earth.

However, with the state of the airlines, you would probably starve to death on airline food and peanuts long before you could take advantage of the time warp. Nanoo nanoo!

    HELP!

I am working with a local web master on a Downe Syndrome web site. I am fairly new to crating web sites. While discussing the Down Syndrome site we also talked about my Yahoo store. I told him I am having a hard time getting crawled by search engines. He said it the Yahoo program, Site Builder. He told me when you save the pages in yahoo it saves as html, but if you look at the text codes on the pages it shows up as picture files. Is this true? If it is what do I do to fix it? I would really hate to do a lot of work and it not work. :-(
