Blog and Ping is an excellent way to get spidered by the top search engines quickly. The process is very time-consuming, but there is an automatic solution available at http://www.dojotech.com.

Just started the "Stomper" CD's and I find this whole SEO world fascinating! I look forward to reading, learning, earning, and contributing more.

In case anyone is interested there is a good article in "The Mercury News" Posted on Tue, Feb. 22, 2005 entitled:Couple Build Startup Into Blog Powerhouse.
San Francisco-based Six Apart provides two widely used blogging tools - a software publishing program, Movable Type, and a hosted service, TypePad, for people who don't want to do the technological grunt work themselves.

Boosted by the recent takeover of another blogging service called LiveJournal, Six Apart now has 7 million users, including a substantial number who pay fees that range from $4.95 per month for TypePad's bare-bones package to thousands of dollars for licensing Movable Type to install on their own servers. .... Check out the article at:http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/business/technology/10961457.htm

Tom,

In response to your post

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm waiting for my stomping cds but I have another general question:

Does it matter the order of the metatags as far as keywords and descriptions go? Should the description metatag line come before the keyword metatag line?

Thanks
>>>>>>>>>

Based on the information I have been given, its TITLE, KEYWORDS, DESCRIPTION

The order probably DOES NOT matter to Google - as many folks speculate that description is not used by Google. I don't know if it is or isn't. But do keep in mind that anything you do to improve the user experience or click through, probably can't hurt. In other words, writing a good description that appears on google, and is descriptive and compelling enough for someone to click on - is a very good thing.

STOMP ON BROTHER!!!
