We regularry put up vlogs. Mostly for family members. I suggest FLEX if you dont already have it.
I use pinnacle 9 to work with my video and some times Premere.

For a creativity, Vlog has an edge over Blog because it has more visual impact than texts and with sound effects,this is a powerful tool.
