As stated above, I think this info comes from public phone listings. If you don’t want anybody to know your info, don’t list it with the phone company. Satellite imagery has been around for a while now. I have used it online for years for my day job as a civil engineer.

This is insane!!who does this benfit??? This just goes to show you the government want to control everybody from the cradle to the grave.Its time people put a stop to all this nonsense thats going on with this world.People we dont live in america anymore—This is turning into Russia!!! There is strength in numbers and if everybody started banning together we could put a stop to stuff like this.There is no reason that your personal information should be made available so easily on the internet.The internet is very dangerous place.

I just built a site on identity theft / identity fraud given it’s massive popularity. One other site that’s gotten focus lately is called zebasearch. I heard about it on the radio, and the CEO is getting slack due to how much free info. he is offering for anonymous queries. – I guess they give more background stuff than other paid sites do. Then they link you to satellite photos and the like.

I know we don’t like it, but privacy is dead. Visa, TRW, Lexus Nexus, etc – all promise to protect my private information. Do you know that the word gullible isn’t in the dictionary?

Brad, it was not within 3 feet, more like 20 feet.

Short of the photo, information like this has been around for a while. It is based on Public and phone book records. For instance have you bought a home, public record, have a business license, public record. There our companies out there that compile this information and then sell it. Scary!
