there’s a efficient way to awoid spam in anonymous blogs: disallow (checked by a script) any links in the blogs and inform about it __explicitly__.

This is just like organized/gang crime and even rappers to some extent. They start out poor and desperate, then get rich and conservative–not wanting to risk their lifestyle. It all comes down to how much you have to lose, I suppose.

I would guess that many spammers – especially email spammers who seem to get through my email filters better than my legitimate emails can(!) – must get pretty skilled in ways that could be turned into more legitimate directions.

On a similar note, Porn webmasters et al are supposedly some of the best SEO gurus in the ecommerce business. I read a forums post about a year ago that a bunch of those guys have their own forum to exchange SEO tactics… but I lost the url for it. (likely was a membership forum anyways).
