Seth Godin noticed the fast acting AdWords players today.
In explaining to a reader that Google doesn’t put those ads there, advertisers do, he brings up a good point.
AdWords often give any quick thinker a chance to shine. Notice that there are only 7 ads showing for “new york strike.”
How many people must have searched that today?
Your ad could be there for five or ten cents.
Have anything that might appeal to those who can’t make it into the city?

you’re actually wrong Brad. Google now sets the min CPC..and the min for these types of terms is around .50 to 1.00 a click..(actually more for other variations)
The Concept that Brad was talking about is valid though… it’s those people who can move quickly and capitalize on the moment that will be able to keep income streams constantly coming in.

The person who can think ahead and take advantage of creating sites that can be put up in a day and related to the theme of the moment will be on the cusp of really being able to generate some serious income

Ha! this is great. Yes, the concept is very strong and true. I guess car services could have advertised there. Some others off the top of my head: Bikes, motorcycles, rollerblades, car rental agencies who could have run a “strike special”. Man, should have thought about this three days ago.

In order for some one to really be effective at internet marketing they have to be constantly thinking “ahead of the eightball”.
I like to say it like this… we should be able to create websites “at the speed of thought”.

The problem, as I see it, is you are going to have hundreds or thousands of consumers vieing for the same product. How do they distinguish quality and price so that those providers who deseve the business because they are truly efficient actually get it?

That’s a good point, the market will become flooded with bad information and good… at this point the burden may have to fall back onto the consumer to educate themselves so that they aren’t tricked… then again, for some marketer’s their main concern is getting them to click… by any means necessary.

Talk about putting up fast websites quck… some of the Article Bot users really have mastered quickly generating a mass amount of good search engine friendly content. It’s not scraped, and for about 2 to 3 hours of effort you can spit out about 300 pages of good articles… serious stuff.

I’m obviously a newbie, and I read in the seo forums about people churning out multiple websites a day, they have a system, use tools, etc. But it takes a while to get that one website seo’d to a good PR so that it appears well for the keywords your going after. So is it better to seo one website at a time, or spit out a bunch that are not seo’d? Or are you people talking about websites in niches that don’t require much seoing at all then, like the New York strike when the news first broke?
Given the mass amount of tools, weapons, seminars, etc. available today, it still takes the keen eye and an ear to the grond to capitlize on the opportunities presented everyday…who’d a thought of “strike” ads a couple of years ago and the opportunity to make a dime overnight?

Dan I have done some studying myself, and I think that they are referring to actual sites that they are able to get up quickly an then they keep nurturing them over time.
I think that the idea is to get the sites up and then nurture them like fine wine until they produce… and the ones that don’t produce you can let them fall by the way side… in theory this would work because you are not spending to much time on just one site… your efforst should be spread evenly over multiple sites with a long term strategy plan in place
