Are you twittering?
If so, what do you think about it?
If not, why?
If you’ve never heard of this latest thing in Web 2.0, don’t worry. It’s new, but interesting.

I have no idea what twittering is but I’ll take a look.
Thanks! : )

I’ve written a couple of Applescripts for Twitter to make it easier and faster. It’s really an amazing idea. It’s part blog, part instant message, part social network. It has marketing potential but it shines as a networking tool.
It’s much easier to grok once you get in and get some friends.
I really don’t quite understand this twitter thing yet. But I’ll try to explore more. Maybe it has something great about it.
Bible Scripture
Looks cool. I agee, looks like more a networking tool.

I’m not a twitterer yet but I suppose I might as well join up. Just another thing for me to keep track of… aye.
Twittering,
Not sure what it is but at the speed of the net and the way Brad has and eye for the future. My bet is a go.
great stuff
I like their logo, but their internal design could help imho.
Apple Mini-Candle in Gift Box
I’m twittering but it’s because I just had a large coffee.

How did they end up with so much PR and I have never heard of them?
Business Checks
I don’t understand yet how marketing potential it can have for me as website owner or internet marketer.

I am, just as of last night (since you mentioned it, actually, Brad). I have already made a friend and have found Henry Rollins’ and Barack Obama’s twitter pages. I think it’s kind of fun, and its lack of features and frills are testament to the power of user-generated content.
Ok, I’ll have a look. First time I heard about this one.
All this web 2.0 thing is making me really confused. Now twitter…..???
holiday gift baskets
Looked at twitter, don’t get twitter…should I?
Ship Your Golf Clubs
Never heard about Twitter. And I just register an account.
I thought it’s a cool idea especially for those who are stuck to the computer all day long. It’s so easy to make an entry and keep track of what I am doing.
Looks like a winner. I don’t know how you find the time.

Lots of PR..they must be Stompernet members

Brad, Twitter is a cool site… I have signed up for it. Web 2.0 is much more difficult for most to understand but once you grab onto things it really is a great tool for getting the word out.
I use many different types of web 2.0 sites depending upon what industry I am marketing for. One example would be if I was wanting to write about fishing twitter would only do so-so for my site, so I would get more out of a community such as fishingfiles.com because it is more of a fishing community as well they are using a new MySpace type community system that works great and similar to twitter but much easier to understand. Finding these types of communities will improve your business and help improve awareness of your companies existence as well help develop other relationships with customers or partners.
Really it all goes back to your industry and what you are trying to get accomplished, if it’s just for the links I would not waist your time.
If it is to build company awareness and credibility then forums and communities are the place for you, however you need to be prepared to keep up. You can get overwhelmed fast
And Remember “Don’t try to spam” They will ban you faster than you can believe…
Just an FYI.. Hope this helps
Happy Posting
I think I’ll stick with Squidoo where I can find meaningful information. I can’t find anything other than miscellaneous hi, how are you type of conversations. I mean no offense, but I can’t see that the Brad Fallon twitter page provides info the way the Brad Fallon blog does. Am I missing something?
some jerks are trying to steal your “coolest guy on the planet” spot!
I have never heard of it but I agree with chazz!

The internet seems to sound like a caricature. First there was Yahoo!, Google… twitter. what’s next? Olala perhaps?
Native Americans
Twitter already has a nice alexa ranking, but as mentioned above, do you think it will be as powerful as Squidoo in terms of traffic and Google authority love?

Is Brad’s newsite going to compete with John Reese’s Income.com ?
I was also hoping Brad and the Stompercrew would do more SEO and business marketing for local business. Thanks

I twittered my URL and it was in Google within a day. Kind of interesting; though I’m not sure how helpful it was. I got interested in Twitter when I decided I wanted to rank #1 on Google for David. Not to be confused with King David who fought with Goliath. I guess I’m bored.
Just signed up, looks like a good thing so far, thanks for the heads up Brad!

Not sure what it means…not the first time and not the last. I’m still trying to figure out Web 2.0 and what it all means to my bank account. All I know is that we’re on the hairy edge of things to come.
Until I figure it out, I’ll be cooling my heels at an Alaska fishing lodge.
I never heard of twitter until now but I think I will signup and give it a try.

Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates via instant messaging. The good thing about it is that they are a PR 8. NICE

I’m trying to Twitter, but their site is down. Hmmm, hard to twitter about kids sports furniture if I can’t Twitter the Twitter.
However, I also agree that the whole Web 2.0 is so convulted. And to make it worse, I read an article on Web 3.0. errr, my head really hurts!
Wow! Awesome PR, cool concept. Thanks again – you rock!

Hey Brad,
Can web 2.0 help me build a list?
I’ve had email marketing success in the past but am now looking for new ways to build a list.
If web 2.0 can generate more subscribers this would be something to look into.
email
marketing success
Thanks

I’ve been attempting to get ranked for Golf Course Designers and Golf Architects. I’ve been posting in several forums and 2.o sites, like my space. Not clear on how to speed up this process. Any ideas

It’s a interesting idea especially for those of us who are on our computers all the time.

I’m not even sure what twittering is? Where do I go to find out more?

I really like it but, I get to busy to think about what I am doing.
I have signed up but have yet to Twitter
Not sure if there is a charge for the SMS in America, but when setting it up, as I live in Ireland, they said I would be charged for that service, so it could cost a lot….. over time.
I have been meaning to get going with Twitter. I learned about it from Ed Dale in STOMPER Simple.
I really want to get going with it. I think that MySpace is going to die off soon. Too many spammers and what not.
Thanks for reminding me to check out Twitter, Brad!

I think the coolest thing about twittering is the ability to receive updates through sms. That’s taking social networking to the next level…
Not really sure about this one – just seems another way to create plenty of internet noise to no real purpose.

I’m not twittering. It’s very difficult to keep current with all Internet stuff, still new to Web 2.0 and installing some plugins to my wordpress logs.
Never heard of twitter but I figured I would sign up and give it a try.

I tried, but can’t get my self twitter-ing. I don’t see a reason, I feel like it’s a waste of time. It’s a teen game…
I know it’s a big deal on the net lately, but can’t get used to it
I’ve been using Twitter for a while now and I like it to get stuff off my chest. The only downside is you never know if anyone is listening and it doesn’t seem to inspire two way communication, although I appreciate the whole point is suppose to be real-time micro blog exchange.
I’m not sure many people even know about the D command for direct chat, and so far nobody (Ed or you) have replied back via that route.
Are you trying to say I’m boring or something?
I was trying to figure out the importance of twittering and wasn’t going to sign up for it. But after seeing that Brad Fallon himself is signing up, I am definitely going to look into it.
The whole Twittering thing seems somewhat strange to me…. the idea of telling people all day long when you are going to the bathroom, taking a smoke break, or getting a cup of coffee-it just seems a little bit weird to me.
Is there really a need for this level of social media? I truly think this is a fad.
Hi Brad! Stomperevent was excellent-thanks.
Learning to like Twitter. I am of the chatter generation and have to learn to “cut to the chase” in my communications but I am learning “sound bite” dialog. See???
By the way, check out Fred on “Hillarycare” on Youtube. Hysterical.
