CURE Childhood Cancer – Atlanta, GA
I recently joined the Board of Directors of a very worthy nonprofit in Atlanta. It’s called CURE Childhood Cancer, and their mission is to fund badly needed research and support families going through this terrible ordeal.
They recently made a short video that explains some of what they do:

Cancer kills more children than any other disease.
Founded in 1975, CURE Childhood Cancer is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through research, education and support of patients and their families. Since its establishment as a grass-roots organization, CURE has focused its efforts on improving the care, quality of life, and survival rate of children with cancer.
The founders, parents and a dedicated pediatric oncologist, joined forces to support laboratory research that would translate into immediate care for children with cancer. Since that time, CURE has raised millions of dollars to fund cutting edge research at the Aflac Cancer Center Blood Disorders Service at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine.
Through innovative programming, CURE also provides support for stricken families, providing them comfort and support during their time of devastating need.

As someone who works with youth everyday I applaude your efforts. This is a worthwhile investment of your time and heart and it will be repaid tenfold. Best of luck to you and to the children who are affected.

I think the cure to childhood cancer is right around the corner.
I’m glad you put this here. After watching the video and thanking God that this is a crisis I have not had to endure, I made a donation.
However, and don’t take this the wrong way, but Brad, you and your staff have superb copywriting skills, so how is it you forgot the call to action? to tell people to either watch the video or give a donation or both?
You could also mention the benefits of giving a donation, such as:
- Perhaps a cure can be found before someone you love is diagnosed.
- A donation will warm your heart.
Again, I’m sure with your topnotch copywriting staff there, you can come up with as many or more benefits. Give it your best, these kids and their families deserve nothing less.

I think this is an admirable cause. Here in Australia we have the Shave For a Cure and similar programs.
Is Curchildhoodcancer planning on going global?
I’ve had a degree of work with adult cancer patients and pain management, however I long for the day we find cures for disease such as cancer.
Kudos on your support of this issue as well,

One other thing Brad, are you planning on using your tech skills to setup some form of e-fundraising? I think that’d be fantastic and I’d happily add support from Australia
Thanks again,
