Google’s Pay-Per-Click Advertising Down – I’m Featured in Brand For Power’s Seminar Series – Adobe Air – Free Line Report 2.29.08
You might be surprised to learn that Google’s pay-per-click advertising revenue is not growing as much as expected these last two years. The growth last year was flat and dropped 7% in December. Brand For Power is doing a seminar series with marketing experts on branding for your business.I’ll be one of the speakers and there will be many others who worked with online branding for companies such as Apple, PizzaHut and Staples. They’re free and you can get the link at http://www.freelinereport.com
Digg has released a new firefox extension that will allow you to see the current number of Diggs for every web page you visit. You can also see the last ten comments and the first sentence of the description. It will also show any previous stories submitted to Digg from that same domain.
Adobe is trying to bridge the gap between your online and offline data with Adobe Air. The idea is to no longer have data available only online by making a copy on your local hard drive.
Cake Financial has released a Facebook application that lets you view authentic stock portfolios of your friends.

Hey Brad, why did you choose Movable Type over WP or Drupal?
I mean, it’s like everyone’s crazy about WordPress – so many plugins and blahblahblah… Would love to hear something from you about it.
Thanks Brad. That Cake Financial app sounds terribly evasive. There’s another app called Causes where you can donate money to various causes. It sounded like a great idea, but I was shocked to see the amount that I donated showing up in news feeds.
I think Facebook is great, except it’s not great showing your personal portfolio and donations.
Thanks for the videos. It’s good to keep informed.
Blessings,
Jean
Hi there,
You’re blog is amazing! I heard about it on an MP3 I was listening to. You told us to leave a comment on your blog. So being a Minneapolis magician, I wanted to share my web link with you…

Hi Brad,
Thanks for the Digg feature – that’s a great extension for SEO, when checking out your competition!
Complimenting that, there is a icon/button you can get from http://www.socialposter.com which submits your site to 46 social bookmarking sites (all you have to do is create an account in each, but the button takes you to each site AND auto-fills your submission! It’s a huge time saver

The Digg plugin is exceptionally helpful for web mongers like us:)
I think that in lieu of recent trends it was obvious that PPC would have to surface and flatline eventually unless Google is able to think outside of the box and come up with creative ways to advertise. Although there have been some changes, much of the core of the system has not changed.
Thanks for the heads up and the links.
Hi Brad,
I am a new StomperNet member and checking out your blog for the first time. I’m taking notes like crazy. Thanks for leading the way.

I’m wondering if Yahoo is picking up any of the growth that Google is missing.
I sure know they are a lot easier to deal with. Google is rather draconian with their rules.
