While listening to Brad and Andy and also James Martell (affiliate guru). I got a bit confused on links. For instance, I have an auto export site and I’m currently placing many, many articles on THAT site and lilnking them back to my new site here http://www.a1-car-truck-stuff.com/. Perhaps as many as 75 -100 total. Can I also put those same articles on MY car-truck site as a means of increasing the site size? OR IS THAT cross linking? I’m under the impression that it might mess me up, but I’m not clear. HELP out there!!!

Thanks! My partner and I just finished The Stomper. Without a doubt this is powerful stuff! We sell Scented Soy Candles and our site has risen to the top page for 3 search terms in Yahoo and with some page “fix” reccommendations from stomper we should begin climbing back in Google!

I noticed something odd…being a newbie, perhaps its not odd but…

I’m in section 4 of stomper and getting a handle on links and PR. I’m thinking that as an affiliate of several large auto parts stores (JC Whitney and others) – perhaps they would want to link to me since I’m selling for them. BUT, JC Whitney has a PR 0. What is that all about? They sell big time, so why is their PR so low? I’m just trying to undertsand the process here.

Any thoughts??

I know there is a lot of software out there to do just about anything you can possibly think of but it all costs money. Andy got me started with his how to build a Yahoo store [cheap] . I am sure there are several new ecomerce store owners who are just trying to get up and running and turn a small profit before purchasing time saving software. Below are a few sites that I have found.
www.googleranking.com This site will let you check Google and Yahoo for up to 1,000 positions you can input up to 10 keywords and check them all at once.

www.digitalpoint.com/tools they have several keyword tools you will find very helpful.

www.webmaster-toolkit.com They have a bunch of free tools also
Again these tools are free to use. I am not connected with these sites I just use there free tools. If you have any great free tools let us know.

We are now # 7 in google for our first keyword phrase Tuscan decor…that’s up from Page 3/4! We are psyched!

Now we are waiting for our “revamped” pages to get re-indexed for our other keywords/categories which are a little more competitive: Italian ceramics majolica, Tuscan furniture, and Italian wall tapestry

Hello Fellow Home Biz Experts!
I have spent the past year educating myself on SEO because I coulnd’t find a good SEO “expert.” I feel fairly clued in; my new site has been a rank 3 without any effort except for posting in the first month. And as Bones said in Star Trek,” Dammit Jim, I’m a Doctor, not an SEO expert!” BUT (here’s the rub), what I spent a YEAR learining what Brad and Andy have in their tapes (for $295+-ish). This would have been a HUGE time and therefore money savings! If you are a newbie, GET THESE CD’s. “Trust me, I’m a Doctor” (got the credentials to back it up….)

I would like to start a thread hearing from guys like me (the little guys) who have been learning a lot from the CD’s and still have a lot to learn. Maybe if we swap some war stories of what we have done with the stuff we have learned (What’s working well, and maybe what’s not working so well) we can all benefit from each other.

The site sat for almost a year with no optimization and no recognition from Google.
